A glimpse of a multiverse in Megazine #299
Parallel universes are universes in a different timeline to Dredd's own, where events have turned out differently. The theory was that a slight change in probability or human action - i.e. you go left instead of right - will spawn a new one, but Mega-City One scientists have lamented that they instead keep finding universes fundamentally different to their own, where "all life is a crime or men dressed as bats are deputised".[1]
Alternate universes include:
- Deadworld, where the Dark Judges tried to end crime through omnicide.
- Batman's home dimension in Gotham City.
- Macro Zone Alpha, where everyone is inherently nice and peaceful.
- The timeline of Johnny Alpha from the series Strontium Dog.
